Meet your Warriors

It is time to meet your warriors, who you will lead into the dark, and who will fight against gods and creatures to stop the encroaching evil.

You already know from the previous post the story of your defiant princess Darragh who you will play as on this journey. Although not an outright warrior with a blade and shield she is blessed by the great god Dagda and can wield these blessings to assist the warriors she commands. A bough of Irish oak is clutched in her hand a conductor of her power and symbol of her land.

First in your ranks is the Asarlai clothed in his blue cloak. Good for light offensives, dabbler in alchemy, and an effective healer.

Story: Once a loyal adviser and astronomer of the former king, Asarlai was charged with tutoring the royal heir the wayward Darragh. His loyalty to the child soon outweighed his loyalty to her father as she grew, proving herself as a brave and just leader. Asarli was humiliated by the weakness of the king and his choice of cowardliness. When his pupil broke ties with her father Asarlai did not hesitate in swearing himself to her cause.

The next member of your troop is the vibrant Siofra a powerful magic-wielder for both protection and attack sourced from the natural world around her.

Story: Looked down on for her shameful conception Siofra worked in the palace gardens after her mother died of madness. She wondered about the grounds flowers and trees leaning in towards her small form as she passed. A chance encounter one night under a new moon between the motherless bastard and a rebellious princess in the royal oaken grove began a firm friendship. When the princess looked for followers on her quest Siofra was already at her side knives sharpened and hungry.

Finally comes the kilted Galloglaigh gifted with immense stamina and endurance, he is a great warrior striking fear into his enemies with his great spear and strength.

Story: Prized only for the strength of his arm the Galloglaigh took as much interest in the business of the crown as it did in him. However, raised on the fabled highlands of Scotland he has always kept his blade sharp led by fate’s fell hand in which he trusts completely. When the young princess renounced her father and her immortality for the protection of her people Galloglaigh felt the strings of destiny go taunt and reverently laid his blade at her feet. In Darragh, he found the voice of fate he has long strained to hear.
